About Clarafication

Clarafication is a firm specializing in human resources communication.  We plan, develop, prepare and implement employee communication programs for employers in all industries with extensive experience working with health care organizations.

Clara Yochum, Founder

As the name implies, Clara Yochum is founder of Clarafication. Clara has 30 years experience in employee communication.

Clara spent the first ten years of her career with Mercer, starting as a benefits analyst in the communication resource center in Chicago before opening Mercer’s communication practice in Indianapolis. She then joined McCready and Keene and started their communication practice focusing mostly on retirement plan communications. Seeking a return to a more diverse communication practice, Clara opened her own business in 1994.

Clara’s communication projects include organizational change programs (downsizing and restructuring), benefits enrollments and plan changes, and compensation and performance development systems. She has designed and implemented communication strategies which include print, video, and web-based systems. Clara routinely provides recommendations and prepares plans for communication programs based on needs assessments, employee surveys and focus groups and senior management directives.

She is a graduate of Indiana University where she completed a Bachelor of Arts. Clara was one of the “founding mothers” of the local chapter of Working in Employee Benefits, has served on a number of local boards and committees for non-profit groups and continues to participate in volunteer activities.

A virtual team

When the project calls for additional resources, we have relationships with writers, graphic designers, printers and web designers. We can work with our client’s internal resources or put together a team of professionals to provide what’s needed.
